So many times, you hear people complain about their dissatisfaction with life. They may be caught in an unhappy marriage or unfulfilling job. Sometimes people will find themselves unhappy for no particular reason.
Each of us have been placed on this earth for a purpose. There are things God has uniquely created you to do that were planned out long before you got here (Ephesians 2:10). As followers of Christ, our goal is to find that unique purpose and be about the Father’s work. Finding our purpose is extremely important. Our inner voice controls every decision we make with that purpose in mind, dictating the quality of life we experience.
Proverbs 29:18 AMP tell us that ’Where there is no vision (no revelation of God), the people perish; but he who keeps the law (of God, which includes that of man) blessed (happy, fortunate and enviable) is he.’
So, when we find ourselves in a place of discontent, that means that either 1) we haven’t found our purpose in life or 2) we have become distracted from our purpose and have strayed off course.
Finding your purpose requires focusing on the Word of God and allowing Him to order your steps. Maintaining your focus can be an ongoing challenge. The enemy is very clever in distracting you from your focus.
For me personally, it has taken me over a month to write a post for my blog. While I believed I had good reasons, I also knew that God had given me the vision for this blog and through my words, I had touched a few lives. The force that benefitted the most from my absence in writing was the enemy. I realized I had allowed the enemy to distract me from my purpose. So, in response, I‘m changing my inner voice – which gave me excuses not to write. I am asking God to change my voice and direct me back to my purpose of inspiring and encouraging women through life application and the Word of God.
What voice do you need to change?
